amazing cultural experience and witness most of England, all in the
confines of this capital city. There are many things to see and do, but if
you only have 3 days to see it all in, then you need to know some of the
best and most exciting things so that you can fit in all you can in only
three days.
The Queen holds her residency in London, and if you are visiting
London, then the first place that many people like to visit is Buckingham
palace. You can’t go inside unless you have a special invitation, but
this is a truly beautiful building and even the surrounds and the roads
leading to the palace are beautiful. People gather at the gates in order
to catch a glimpse of the Queen as she is transported to and from the
palace, and you can see the soldiers who guard the palace all around
the local area.
Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are two great places to visit.
Way back before hangings and executions were made illegal, the tower
of London is where many people lost their lives to pay for their crimes
and today the tower remains as a tourist attraction for those who wish
to learn about the history of this incredible building. Keep an eye out
for ghosts though, as many claim to have seen ghostly apparitions
and encounters. The tower is guarded by beefeaters that you will see
around the tower. They protect the crown jewels, which are kept in the
tower too.
Other attractions that should not be missed include the London eye,
which is a large Ferris wheel like structure, where you can see the
whole of London from high up on this ride.
If you are going out for a meal, then there is no shortage of restaurants
and cafes for you to have lunch or an evening meal. The themed
area in Soho called Chinatown features an array of Chinese shops,
restaurants and bakeries where you can sample some lovely oriental
cuisine.
For entertainment, you can go out for an evening to watch a show, or
opt for a cheaper matinee in the middle of the day. The famous London
West End features many theatres such as the National and the Globe
where you can see musicals and plays and even music concerts too.
There are various packages that you can purchase when you are going
to see a show to include just the ticket or to purchase a meal and even
accommodation at a reduced rate with the ticket.
There are many other sites and attractions and plenty for the whole
family to enjoy. If you are only staying in London for 3 days, then you
may wish to come back again to see everything that you missed out on
the first time!
From London you can catch the train that goes under the canal and in
below 2 hours you will be in Paris.
